TERMS & CONDITIONS – THE POODLE SOCIETY CLUB

Scope
These Terms and Conditions apply to all registrations, ticket purchases, and participation in events, meetups, and activities organised by the Poodle Society Club (hereinafter referred to as "the Club"). By purchasing a ticket, registering for, or attending an event, participants explicitly agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Our Events

The Poodle Society Club organises community events, meetups, social walks, and shared experiences designed to bring poodle lovers together in real life. Because our activities take place at varying locations and differ in content, each event is uniquely tailored. The respective date, exact time, meeting point or venue, as well as event specials and ticket inclusions, are definitively stated on the respective event page. We explicitly reserve the right to adjust the programme, exact location, route, or format of the event if necessary for organisational reasons, safety concerns, requirements by the venue or authorities, or weather conditions. Such reasonable adjustments do not entitle participants to a refund of the ticket price.

Age & Participation
Unless explicitly stated otherwise on the event page, our events are open to adults aged 18 and over. Participants are fully responsible for ensuring that they and their dogs meet the participation and health requirements stated for the respective event.

Booking & Contract
A binding contract is formed once a ticket has been successfully purchased or a registration has been confirmed. Tickets are subject to availability and are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Prices & Payment

All ticket prices are stated on the respective event page in Swiss Francs (CHF). Payment processing is handled via our ticketing partner Eventfrog and its connected external payment providers. The terms and privacy policies of Eventfrog apply additionally. The Poodle Society Club does not store any sensitive payment or credit card details at any time.

Tickets, Transfers & Cancellations
Tickets are generally non-refundable. If you cancel your booking more than 24 hours before the event, and we are able to fill your vacant spot via our waitlist, we may offer you a credit voucher for a future event. For cancellations made less than 24 hours before the event, or if you fail to attend, no refund or credit voucher will be provided. You may transfer your ticket to another poodle team at any time and free of charge, provided you inform the Club before the event starts so we can update our guest list.

Event Cancellation or Postponement by the Club
Our outdoor events generally take place rain or shine. However, the Club reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule an event due to insufficient participation, force majeure, or extreme weather conditions that compromise the safety of humans and dogs (e.g., storms, severe weather warnings). If we postpone or cancel an event, your ticket automatically remains valid for the replacement date. If you cannot make the new date, you will receive a full refund. To the extent permitted by law, no further compensation is owed for additional personal costs (e.g., travel expenses) resulting from a cancellation or change.

Participation & Code of Conduct
Participants are expected to behave respectfully, kindly, and appropriately towards other members, hosts, staff, and third parties. Harassment, discrimination, or any behavior that compromises the comfort or safety of our human or canine guests will not be tolerated. The Club reserves the right to exclude any participant from an event if their behavior is inappropriate or unsafe, without any right to a refund.

Canine Health, Rules & Liability
Safety and well-being are our highest priorities. By bringing a dog to a Club event, the participant guarantees that they hold a valid personal/animal third-party liability insurance (Tierhalterhaftpflichtversicherung) that covers potential damage or injury caused by their dog. Dogs must be healthy, free of contagious diseases (e.g., kennel cough), and free of parasites. To prevent stress, fights, and unwanted behavior within the group, female dogs in heat are strictly prohibited from attending. Affected participants can transfer their ticket to a future event for free. Dogs must be kept on a relaxed leash during walks and at the event venues to ensure a calm arrival. Off-leash play is only permitted when explicitly announced by the event host in designated, secure areas (e.g., secure park zones). Participants retain full legal custody and responsibility (Tierhalterhaftung) for their dog at all times. The Club accepts no liability for injuries or damages caused by dogs to other dogs, humans, or property. The host may request a participant to leave if a dog poses a safety risk, without any right to a refund.

Personal Responsibility & Liability
Participation in our events is entirely voluntary and at the participant’s own risk. Participants are fully responsible for their own health, safety, behavior, and personal belongings. The Club is not responsible for the personal actions, statements, or private interactions of its members outside or during the events.

Photos & Videos (Social Media)
We love capturing the amazing vibes of our community! By attending our events, you agree that photos and videos of you and your dog may be taken and used for promotional, marketing, and documentation purposes on our website and social media channels. If you or your dog prefer not to appear on camera, please actively inform your host upon arrival. We will fully respect your privacy and ensure you are not featured.

Data Protection
Personal data collected during bookings or registrations is handled carefully and strictly in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Swiss data protection laws.

Applicable Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed exclusively by Swiss law. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the ordinary courts at the registered seat/location of the Poodle Society Club in Switzerland.

Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain completely unaffected.
